I’m a freelance model, with a clear focus geared towards high fashion couture and hair modeling, with that being said, the agencies I have approached in Atlanta told me that I would be limited to only urban modeling due to my short hair, I find that odd due to quite a few of America's next top model winners Eva, Naima having short hair. I'm 5'11 with the features and qualities of a model but due my hair my work is limited. This baffles me, that most of the models in Atlanta aka Black Hollywood receives recognition due to popularity and not talent. I’m wondering who will take a change on me? Who will believe in my talent just as much as I do? In 2010 I promised myself I would do whatever I can to break through, I Believe in myself and I know that I’m gonna make it.
I have this on my mirror..."The greatest pleasure life is doing what others say you cannot do." Keep strutting your stuff, you'll be fine!

If the Lord brought you to it he will bring you through it. I'm sorry it sounds like these agencies don't know what they are talking about. I think about models like Linda Evangelista with her long blond hair who cut it short and dyed it red and she blew up. Let talk about black models like Roshumba, Alec Wek, the new girl that won ANTM this past season Krista White, etc. All had short hair and rocked some couture. In modeling if you are able to transform and sell yourself and the product that is half the battle there. Learn your craft learn the desingers, their lines, how they want their products to be displayed. Your a smart woman you know all of this. I will be praying that the right people and opportunites will come your way if this is what you want and you are hungry for this then go for it and let God do the increase. Love ya
