Converse & ATL's Top Ballers Dunk 4 Dollars For Charity

On Saturday, December 4 the inaugural Converse Dunkin' For Dollars took place at Adams Park Recreation Center. Converse and 790 The Zone put some of Atlanta's top basketball players to the test.


Converse Dunkin' For Dollars is one of many community programs initiated by Converse in Atlanta that infuse entertainment, music and basketball all for the benefit of Atlanta's youth. Players who participate in the contest were judged by a panel of celebrities and basketball enthusiasts.

The criteria included
  • dunk difficulty,
  • style & finesse
  • crowd participation

The celebrity and basketball enthusiast judging panel at Converse Dunkin' For Dollars consisted of:

WNBA player Chamique Holdsclaw
Former WNBA player Rushia Brown
Demetria McKinney - Actress on Tyler Perry's House of Payne and avid basketball player
RL - Lead singer of the multi-platinum R&B group Next
Daron Jones of the multi-platinum R&B group 112
Journalist Maurice Garland (MauriceGarland.com)
Journalist G-Roc (TheShoeGame.com)
