On Sunday June 5, 2011 Big Boi didn't throw his daughter a traditional "Sweet Sixteen" Bash. Big Boi gifted his daughter Jordan Patton with a new record label, PURPLE RIBBON KIDZ
Big Boi wanted to empower his daughter to be an entrepreneur. Big Boi’s Big Kidz foundation strives to teach young people the importance of using their creative talents to empower themselves and their communities through entrepreneurship.
The Purple Ribbon Kidz celebratory launch was coordinated entirely by KIDS. Child Star Adrian Kali Turner hosted there was a teen DJ along with teen correspondents on the purple carpet, The Highlight of the evening included a special performance by the first artist signed to Purple Ribbon Kidz, Gabbie Rae, along with the viewing of the video for her new single, Neverland.
I admire Big Boi he could have invested in a lavish "Sweet Sixteen" bash but he invested in her future. How awesome is that!

Special thank you to AW Media Group and Enchanted PR for the invite
Awesome news this was a very empowering event. I hope we keep uplifting our youth this way. It would have been nice to see a pic of the host Adrian Kali Turner. He did a terrific job for a 13 year old. He has been all over the TV in the Bad Teacher Trailer. I also saw him in the The Walking Dead, he plays the son of Lennie James.
ReplyDeleteThis purple ribbon will be awesome don't you think?
