On Friday night (May 27, 2011) Kalenna, Jamal Anderson (All-Pro RB) along with a host of other athletes and celebrities joined NFL's Houston Texan, Jarvis Green in Baton Rouge for the The Jarvis Green Foundation's wine tasting gala, which benefits disadvantaged single mothers. The evening's festivities were held at the Cook Hotel/Lod Cook Alumni Center and featured a live band, gourmet dining, fine wines, a raffle and a silent auction.
After getting off the plane and just before heading to Baton Rouge for the Jarvis Green event, Kalenna stopped by the 8th grade graduation of the Batiste Cultural Arts Academy in New Orleans. She addressed the graduates with words of encouragement and charged them to always strive for the best.
