On Saturday August 27, 2011 Park Tavern was transformed into a musical haven. The concert showcased artists like Chrisette Michele, Tortured Soul, The Cool Kids, Anoop Desai, The Pharcyde, Anthony David, Foreign Exhange and "Searching for The One" winner, Kyron Leslie. ONE MusicFest attracted over 4,000 people for more than 12 hours of non-stop live music. The Summer's most anticipated concert series in the South East region, also featured culinary artist Chef Romero's "Crab & Shrimp Festival" . The Atlanta Music Project served as this year's philanthropic partner, collecting used instruments on-site for children in need.
"There is a lack of representation for soul, progressive hip-hop, alternative and rock, represented under one roof, in the format of music festivals in Atlanta. We have noticed that while there are many pockets of individuals that share taste in the same music, rarely do you see them share in this together. ONE Musicfest was created with the idea of music as the universal language. Over time, we aim to grow this fest into a phenomenon and bring together different sectors of individuals through a unique music platform," states J. Carter, Sol-Fusion Founder and ONE Musicfest Producer.
