The Transformation 2011: A Brand New You A Day of Beauty for Breast Cancer Survivors


There is only one word to describe today's event Phenomenal!  The Weave Shop Salon and National Breast Cancer Organization Sisters’ Network Partnered Together to provide Makeovers for Breast Cancer Survivors. This morning there was an insirpational program where Towanda Braxton was a keynote speaker she shared her story of her grandmother passing due to breast cancer other notable speakers were Kenya Crooks, Nutritionist Anita and Latonya CEO of the Weave Shop. After a nutritional lunch the ladies headed to the makeover area , Where Lamik Beauty and the Weave Shop were waiting to get the ladies beautiful. There are more than 2.5 million breast cancer survivors currently living in the U.S., according to the American Cancer Society (ACS). An estimated 26, 840 new cases of breast cancer are expected to occur among African American women in 2011. Please ladies do a self exam regularly as well as Dr Checkups.

  1. SDMSTYLE a Lifestyle company in the Bay Area has hosted similar events. You should look into possibly networking with them to host another soiree, possibly in the Bay Area.
