El Jefe cigar provided by Don Abram Harris Cigars and a shot of the exclusive Remy Martin 1738 Accord Royale |
Ladies and gents alike sipped an array of fine cognacs, savored exclusive cigars, sampled delectable cuisine and scored some great buys last night at Cognac and Cigars - Gentlemen For A Cause, a fundraiser held at Coposhi with all proceeds benefiting Atlanta-based non-profit Sporty Girls, Inc.
Cognac and Cigars combined a luxurious yet relaxed atmosphere perfect for connecting in the name of community. Guests enjoyed three cognacs courtesy of Remy, which included Remy Martin VSOP, Remy V and the rare Remy Martin 1738 Accord Royale. Don Abram Harris Cigars holds the distinction of being the first African-American cigar manufacturer and provided two of its cigars for the occasion. El Jefe, which means "The Boss" in Spanish, was heralded for its smoothness and The Presidential Reserve, a cigar created to commemorate the country's first Black president, impressed aficionados and novices alike. As a parting gift, gentlemen in attendance received products from male skin care line Himself27 courtesy of KORE Magazine and special discounts on merchandise courtesy of Coposhi boutique.
The highlight of the night was the opportunity to recognize the event's namesakes, or the Gentlemen who have been avid supporters of Sporty Girls, Inc. since it was founded in 2006. Our amazing host committee included: Steve Canal (MillerCoors), Jimmy Jones (TonightAtlanta), Taiye Samuel, Brian Short (TFT Style), Jay Carter (Sol Fusion), Joey Digital (Digital Guestlist), Justin Tanner (Gen 44), Dorsey Levens (Retired NFL), Steve Smith (Retired NBA/NBA TV Analyst), GRIFF (comedian) and Tiwa Works.
