New Malibu Red Debuts With An Explosive Atlanta Launch
The new Malibu Red was launched in Atlanta on Monday night at an explosive soiree that highlighted the brand's newest incarnation as well as appearances by some of Atlanta's celebrities and socialites. The avant-garde King Plow Center was the backdrop for this affair, which featured a bevy of décor accentuated with sleek red accents to represent both the fiery and smooth taste of Malibu Red. Malibu Red is a higher proof, smooth Caribbean coconut flavored rum, with a careful blend of crisp clear Blanco tequila from the Olmeca highlands region of Mexico.
Guests were greeted in the parking lot by fire performers and the surprises continued with performances by an energetic troop of flamenco dancers, sultry burlesque dancers, aerialists who wowed the crowd with their graceful acrobatic display and an impromptu surprise performance by platinum recording artist RL of the group Next.
The affair was the brainchild of The Starfire Group, an Atlanta-based event planning firm known for creating memorable, unique and explosive experiences for an array of corporate and private clients.
"Our goal was to create a unique event experience that allowed our client, Malibu Red, to be the star," said I'na Saulsbery, CEO of The Starfire Group. "We used some creative tactics to highlight the product's tasty and fiery attributes through the cuisine, interactive experiences and performances, and I was thrilled to see how it all came together and how it was received by our guests."
In addition to RL of Next, some of the other socialites in attendance included Ebony Steele of the nationally syndicated Rickey Smiley Morning Show, fashion designer Mychael Knight, celebrity stylists Brian Short and Patrick Cooper, entertainment executives Noni Nichols, Mali Hunter and Shanti Das, new R&B artist Karmella Daniel and many others.
