Atlanta boutique PR, event planning and marketing firm Brainchild Associates hosted Atlanta's top tastemakers, trendsetters and media professionals at the firm's quarterly Media Mixer held on June 19, 2012. The event drew style, fashion, beauty, lifestyle and shopping bloggers, writers, reporters and photographers to the hip Salon Aamono in the Westside Shopping District of midtown Atlanta. The evening also served as the official media introduction of the International Association of Beauty Brands, a new trade organization providing business development resources to professional stylists, product manufacturers and salon and spa owners. During the networking and nibbles, attendees enjoyed viewing the latest looks in haute hair and accessory couture, courtesy of Salon Aamono.

"We plan tons of publicity events for clients like Design Essentials, Target and the Center for Black Women's Wellness just to name a few," says Tori Allen, principal of Brainchild Associates. "But our own quarterly Media Mixers allow everyone to let their hair down and get to know each other outside of client business."
"Our vision for the International Association of Beauty Brands is to equip the small beauty business owner with the nuts and bolts they need to get to that next level. One of the benefits we provide to our members is training on how to effectively court the media," says Toni V. Martin, Director of Marketing for the International Association of Beauty Brands. "Some of our members left with press contacts and interview dates!" Brainchild Associates is the Agency of Record for the International Association of Beauty Brands.
Every guest commented on the eclectic decor and cool vibe of the venue, Salon Aamono, owned by celebrity make-up artist Brittany Allen who has appeared in Ebony, Essence and JEZEBEL magazines just to name a few publications. In addition to serving new clients at her salon, Allen is a go-to artist for commercial shoots for companies such as the Home Depot, the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, the IRS as well as entertainers such as Keyshia Cole, Rick Ross, Jennifer Husdon, Steve Harvey, Sheree Whitfeild, Algebra and Rockmond Dunbar.
