Design Essentials Launches New Restorative Treatment for In-Salon and At-Home Use

Economic concerns and the trend toward at-home styling has generated more complaints among women attempting to maintain their hair's health. Designed in response to consumer complaints of brittle hair, dryness and breakage, the new DEEP Fortifying Treatment from Design Essentials® addresses some of the biggest issues among clients with natural, relaxed and color-treated hair. DEEP goes beyond leave-in and other conditioners to strengthen and restore the most damaged hair conditions as it fills in broken fibers, evens porosity and seals the hair cuticle to lock in moisture. DEEP is able to rejuvenate the hair through proteins, minerals and antioxidants delivered by fortifying and nourishing ingredients like shea butter, olive oil and honey.

DEEP Fortifying Treatment can deliver custom-blended treatments designed to address individual concerns and hair challenges. When combined with other targeted products from the full Design Essentials® line, DEEP Fortifying Treatment restores hair health from damage as a result of color-treatment, heat, improper styling methods and neglect.

Here are a few cocktails for common hair complaints:

Strength for Dull, Dry Hair:
Shampoo hair with Moisture Retention Shampoo, towel blot then apply DEEP Fortifying Treatment. Allow to process on hair for 15 minutes. For deeper penetration, process with a plastic cap and sit under a warm hooded dryer.

Strength plus Moisture:
Combine Simulations Super Moisturizing Condition with DEEP Fortifying Treatment and allow to process on hair for 15 minutes with or without heat.

Strength plus Shine:
Combine Botanical Oils with DEEP Fortifying Treatment and allow to process on hair for 15 minutes with or without heat.

Strength plus Vitamins:
Combine Restore Vitamin Treatment with DEEP Fortifying Treatment and allow to process on hair for 15 minutes with or without heat.

"Many clients who have scaled back their salon visits due to the economy may be saving money, but it's oftentimes at the cost to their hair's health and integrity," says Tracey Gibson, Director of Marketing for McBride Research Laboratories. "DEEP gives the consumer a fortifying treatment they can use in between salon visits to nourish and fortify their hair until their next service."

DEEP Fortifying Treatment is available as a retail product to consumers as well as can be found in Design Essentials® Salons. For more information about Design Essentials® DEEP Fortifying Treatment, visit www.designessentials.com.
