Women Interactiv​e (c) Creative Technology Festival Debuts in Atlanta Oct 12-13

Women Interactive (WI) is a two day interactive technology festival created for women of color who produce and share digital content. In keeping with the fast paced nature of technology, the WI Festival will allow college students, academic faculty, technology and media professionals the opportunity to interact with innovative technology. Women Interactive Digital Vanguard Awards will take place on October 12, 2012, from 7:00pm - 9:00pm at the Lenox Microsoft Store and the Women Interactive Festival will take place on October 13, 2012, at Spelman College.

Before attendees embark on a journey of creativity, technology and content creation at Women Interactive (WI) Festival, WI will honor women of color who are vanguards in the digital space. The inaugural Women Interactive Digital Vanguard Awards will take place at the Microsoft Store at Lenox Square Mall incorporating a unique Skype Virtual platform and is FREE to all attendees. The awards will kick off with a recorded foreword by Dr. Beverly Tatum, President of Spelman College. Throughout the evening, the selected five honorees will share their stories of creativity, technology and digital rebellion. On the campus of Spelman College, festival attendees will experience an Interactive Atrium, view cutting edge media content in signature Screening Rooms , experience technological exhibitions in the Inspiration Hall and participate in media/technology workshops, pans and speaker presentations in Education Suites. All exhibitions and educational workshops are executed in 30, 20 and 15 minute intervals allowing attendees to get high quality information in a short amount of time.
