About ‘da Kink in My
Hair’
Set in Toronto at a
Caribbean hair salon, ‘da
Kink in My Hair’ revolves around Novelette, a West Indian hair
stylist who serves as a confidant for each character who struggles through
everyday trials and tribulations; many which are familiar to most black women.
From a mother losing a child to gun violence, to a career-driven woman who lacks
love in their personal life, executive producer, Trey Anthony uses the ‘da Kink in My Hair’ as a
platform to successfully blend real life stories of laughter, tears, revelation
and inspiration.
