Nationally recognized running organization, Black Girls RUN! recently announced
the opening of its 1,000 square foot boutique office in Atlanta, Ga. The office
will serve as the official headquarters for the organization. Previously a
neighborhood grocery store and yoga studio, the organization moved into the new
office in June.
“We
are proud to finally set up our ‘home’ in East Atlanta,” said Toni Carey,
co-founder of Black Girls RUN!. “With such a large running community, the city’s
commitment to the outdoors and a vibrant business community, Atlanta was the
perfect place to lay our roots.”
The
building’s most unique aspect is the “open source” floorplan. Instead of
cubicles and walled-in offices, Black Girls RUN! headquarters is outfitted with
lots of work “spaces” and lounge areas, offering its staff plenty of creative
spaces without the traditional workspace restrictions.
“We
are excited to expand our footprint by opening an office in Atlanta,” says
Hicks. “We feel the timing is right to make this move and set up a permanent
home, so that our organization can continue to grow.”
