Dark and Lovely®, the premier hair care brand for women of color, was the exclusive backstage hair sponsor of Harlem’s Fashion Row (HFR). The event took place at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Fredrick P. Rose Hall on September 6, 2013 during New York Fashion Week. This year’s HFR Runway Show showcased S/S14 Collections from designers Deidre Jefferies, Kimberly Goldson (former Project Runway finalist), Kahindo Mateene (current Project Runway contender) and Sandro Romans.
To complement each designer’s distinctive collections, Dark and Lovely® teamed up with Celebrity Stylist Keith Campbell to bring the hair inspirations to life. With the help of Dark and Lovely’s innovative hair products, Campbell created on-trend, fashion-forward styles to complete the runway looks.
“Dark and Lovely is proud to support HFR, a platform that helps to advance opportunities for emerging designers of color. As a leader in the multiethnic haircare industry, we’re honored to have the opportunity to celebrate the creative vision, craftsmanship and entrepreneurial spirit of these influential designers." said Sivonne Davis, Director of Marketing, Dark and Lovely.
