Returning to the stage at SOB’s in New
York Cityon December 23rd Mack Wilds will be performing his
first solo-concert, after recently performing a sold-out Hot 97’s Who’s
Next Live showcase.
Mack
Wilds’ debut album New York: A Love Story,
depicts a story of love and loss vividly against sounds arranged by remarkable
producers like DJ Premier, Pete Rock and
Havoc and GRAMMY®-Nominated producer SalaAM
ReMi. Leading up to the first week of its release, the album generated
significant buzz and debuted at No. 28 on Billboard’s
Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart as well as placing on
Billboard’s 200, alongside albums released by artists such as
Zendaya, Tim McGraw and Lana Del Ray.
Following his first chart appearance, Mack was featured
in Billboard's "Bubbling Under," which highlighted him as a new and noteworthy
act. In a music review by Jon Caramanica published in the New York
Times, he describes the album as “a surprisingly elegant and convincing
revival of mid-1990s hip-hop-soul and early 2000s New York
hip-hop.”
“Own
It,” the lead single off of the album co-written by Mack Wilds and R&B
superstar Ne-Yo, is currently standing at No.
16 on R&B/Hip-Hop National Airplay chart, as well
as No. 5 on Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Most
Added and at No. 5 on Mainstream
R&B/Hip-Hop Most Increased Plays. The corresponding video http://youtu.be/ki4Z203UDy8,
which follows Mack in his hometown of Staten Island, has generated significant
views on VEVO and YouTube alike, and recently, a special re-mix of “Own It” was
released featuring hip hop Boss Rick Ross.
Other major outlets that have featured Mack Wilds

BET.com, Huffington Post and VIBE, and in addition,Mack has
performed his hit single on notable television shows such as The Wendy
