On Tuesday October 15th, Actor Tyler James Williams hosted a roundtable discussion for Dear White People. I was really excited to speak with him because I've been a fan of his for years I watched him religiously on Everybody Hates Chris. Tyler portrays Lionel Higgins in the film a college student and new member of the school's lily-white newspaper staff.
DEAR WHITE PEOPLE shows that the current generation of young people understand the politics of race in a way that we may not have imagined. It is an homage to early Spike Lee, with a new, fresh perspective layered in. Filmmaker Justin Simien has created a film that is brash, funny, and speaks to racism in a very interesting, dialog inducing way. Lets get out and support this Film --
