This year I developed Eczema and its the most irritating thing EVER. So I'm sharing some products and tips that I use to calm my flare ups.
- Neosporin Eczema Essentials: I use this daily during my flare ups it provides immediate relief of itching and redness. It also moisturizes the skin. $9.99 at CVS
- Shea Moisture Eczema and Psoriasis Therapy: delivers a gentle, cleansing experience while naturally soothing troubled skin. $4.99 at CVS and online
- Cetaphil Cleanser: Mild, soap-free formula cleanses without irritation — it won’t strip skin of its natural protective oils or emollients. Carried at most drug stores I purchased mine at Family Dollar for like $4.00
- Bathe only in warm water. Hot water dries out skin. Wash with a gentle cleanser instead of soap. Don't use body scrubbers or washcloths, as these can irritate skin. Pat dry with a soft towel instead of rubbing, and be sure to leave skin damp.
- Avoid sweating and overheating. Being hot and sweaty often triggers itching and scratching.
- Reduce stress. Finding time to relax can be a challenge, but reducing your stress level will help prevent eczema flares.
