If you follow me on Instagram you may have noticed before my box-braids I wore my hair straight and a lot people asked me what products I used. To save time I decided to do a quick post to explain how I straighten my hair without getting any heat damage.
I use Motions Straight Finish this product lets you go from curly to
straight and bounce right back to natural curls. The Bounce Back Formula
preps, protects, and seals your hair. So unlike permanent straightening
systems, your hair will return to its natural curly texture after one
wash.
PREP – Motions Straight Finish™ Cleanser ($6.99): Re-hydrating conditioning shampoo, blended with Shea Butter and Keratin, helps replenish moisturization for naturally curly textures.
PROTECT – Motions Straight Finish™ Leave-In Conditioner ($6.99): Formulated for natural textures, with coconut oil and keratin, this leave-in formula adds a layer of strengthening moisturizers that helps protect hair before heat styling.
This is the last time my hair was curly before I got box braids. |
Here are my results -- all I used was the Motions Straight Finish Collection + Ferrum Flat Iron! Below is the step-by-step process |
- Wash with Motions Straight Finish Cleanser
- Distribute Motions Straight Finish Leave-In Conditioner evenly to hair
- Use hand-held blow dryer to blow out hair
- Apply Motions Straight Finish Sealer
- Then Use Flat Iron
Fabric + Ceramic: A non-heated specially designed fabric plate allows your hair to breathe and cause less damage.
*Tip: For thick or coarse hair hold the styler in the closed position while it reaches maximum heat.
I'm in LOVE with this Ferrum Flat iron. My favorite feature is the temperature gage you can set the range from 140-450 degrees. I love the fact that I can control the heat to further ensure no heat damage. I definitely will be using it again when I straighten my hair.
