Labor Day traditionally marks the unofficial end of Summer, in the South we’re
treated to warm weather and long days well into September and beyond - and a
refreshing drink is the perfect way to get in the spirit of an endless summer.
Below are recipes for summer-inspired cocktails, from gin and tequila to wine
and punch
Milagro Carpe Dia
Ingredients:
2 parts Milagro Anejo
2 parts Margarita Mix
5 Blackberries
2 Sage Leaves
3 dashes of Fee Brothers Barrel aged Bitters
Preparation: Muddle fruit and herbs. Add remaining ingredients. Shake with ice and strain into rocks glass with ice. Garnish with Rosemary Sprig.
Icelandic
Mule
Ingredients:
2 parts Reyka
Vodka
1 parts Q
Ginger
1.5 parts Soda
Water
.75 parts Fresh Lemon
Juice
Preparation: Shake and strain into ice filled highball glass, top
with soda water. Garnish with lemon wedge
Hendrick’s Cucumber Lemonade
Ingredients:
3 parts Hendrick’s Gin
2 parts fresh lemon juice
2 parts simple syrup, sparkling
water
Preparation: In a long glass combine ingredients.
Add ice, top with sparkling water, give a gentle stir and garnish with a
cucumber spears.
