A Really Good Strut Marked Arrival of Fall Fashions at Westside Provisions

Westside Provisions, the premier dining and shopping destination in Atlanta’s burgeoning Westside neighborhood, ushered in fall with nearly 200 guests at its annual runway show, A Really Good Strut, on Friday, October 9. The property was abuzz as models from Westside retailers showcased the season’s latest fashions across the District’s iconic bridge.

Star 94 radio personality Heather Branch emceed the show while DJ Armor curated an energetic playlist for the night, as the models strutted their seasonal silhouettes. Natural looks from Anthropologie, Calypso St. Barth and Free People graced the runway, while classic, sophisticated cuts and fashions from G. Gilbert, KANE Boutique and The Bilt-House highlighted fall textures and rich seasonal colors, some of the season’s hottest trends. Pure Barre’s looks flaunted the versatility of the fitness studio’s clothing line, while Dragonfly Salon’s elaborate, goddess-inspired up-dos were simply show-stopping.

Guests of A Really Good Strut enjoyed light bites courtesy of Westside Provisions’ restaurants including Ormsby’s, Star Provisions, West Egg Café, JCT. Kitchen and Little Trouble. Georgia Crown served a selection of beer, wine and the evening’s signature fall cocktail, a blend of pumpkin vodka and apple cider. Guests also had the opportunity to purchase tickets for raffle items provided by participating retailers, including a designer clutch from KANE Boutique, a $500 gift certificate to The Shade Store and a perfume and candle set from Calypso St. Barth.

Proceeds from the fashion show benefited Friends of Atlanta Waterworks, a Park Pride “Friends of the Park” group working to reopen local greenspace on Atlanta’s Westside and one that Westside Provisions’ owners and developers Jamestown and Tucker Mott Companies have actively supported since 2014, and the Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta, a group dedicated to giving recycled, gently used furniture to those moving out of homelessness and fleeing domestic violence.

“It was an honor for the Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta to partner with Westside Provisions for A Really Good Strut,” says Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta community resource manager Stephanie Thomas. “We are humbled by the support shown to help us further our mission and assist those in need throughout our Atlanta community.”
All of the looks featured at A Really Good Strut are now available at participating Westside Provisions retailers and neighboring boutiques throughout the season.
