Last night, celebrity makeup artist Renny Vasquez worked with new-mom, Serena Williams for the Glamour’s 2017 Women of the Year Awards, which was her first red carpet appearance since giving birth to her daughter. Check out the details below on how Renny achieved her radiant look using BLACK OPAL products.
“I adore working with Serena – she is a beautiful person
inside and out. Knowing this was her first red carpet appearance since giving
birth, I wanted to make sure she felt, and looked, simply amazing. I used
Black/Opal makeup to create a natural-looking, yet elegantly sculpted look that
complemented her high ponytail and black Versace dress.” – Celebrity Makeup
Artist, Renny Vasquez
- On freshly cleansed and moisturized skin, Renny applied Black Opal True Color Pore Perfecting Liquid Foundation in Black Walnut. Starting at the center of Serena’s face, he blended outward first with fingers and then used a moist blending sponge to create a smooth, even finish. This lightweight liquid foundation minimizes the appearance of pores while also controlling excess oil, for beautiful skin all night long.
- Renny then used the best-selling Black
Opal True Color Skin Perfecting Stick Foundation in three different
shades: Hazelnut and Heavenly Honey to highlight, and
Ebony Brown to contour. A perennial makeup artist favorite, the Stick
Foundation effectively conceals imperfections and provides seamless full
coverage.
- Renny applied the lighter shades – Hazelnut & Heavenly Honey – under her eyes, to her forehead, cupid’s bow.
- He contoured and accentuated her cheekbones using Ebony Brown, for a perfectly sculpted look that complemented her overall look
- Lastly, to set her makeup and to ensure extended wear, Renny applied Black Opal Invisible Oil Blocking Loose Powder to control oil and prevent shine. He dusted the powder lightly all-over and applied an extra layer to her T-zone area.
