Last night I attended the 17th annual National Black Arts Fine Art + Fashion event, which brought together art and fashion lovers. The honorees this year included Academy Award Winning Costume Designer, Ruth Carter, Visual Artist, Shanequa Gay, and Fashion Designer & Attorney, Busayo Olupona. Fine Art + Fashion, presented in partnership with Neiman Marcus, raises funds to support NBAF’s operations and programs for artists of all ages and disciplines, particularly our youth arts education programs for underserved students of African descent.
