The prints and colors draw inspiration from the designer’s travels in Nepal and India, derived from vintage Indian woodblock designs. Additional prints evoke memories of the wallpaper at his grandmother’s house, featuring abstracted flowers such as poppies and lotus blossoms.
Silhouettes and fabrics celebrate the timeless elegance of this heritage while embracing the practicality of the present. Metallic and natural linens are fashioned into loose, flowing silhouettes that effortlessly dance with the wind on balmy days.
“The inspiration for Prabal Gurung was based off a sultry Indian summer with metallic gold and silver on the Bare But Better collection.
